    Japanese glucan supplement Nichi GLOW improves autism spectrum disorder behaviors

    MENA Newswire: March, 2022, Tokyo – In children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Beta 1,3 -1,6 glucan (Nichi GLOW) as an adjunct, when orally consumed with conventional therapies, yielded behavioral improvement, documented by Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) score in a pilot clinical study, published in BMJ Neurology Open. Blood levels of Alpha-synuclein, a neurotransmitter and Melatonin increased along with improvement in sleep, learning skills and communication ability.

With a 25 years safety track record, though is not a drug or remedy to any illness, may serve as an adjunct in managing neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases after validation in different populations, according to the scientists. Clinical studies employing different strains of the product in unmet neurological diseases are underway.

    Gold prices managed to stay above $4,400 an ounce on Thursday, bouncing back after an earlier dip in the previous session. Spot gold increased 0.3% to reach $4,414.28 an ounce by 0419 GMT. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures for December delivery declined slightly by 0.1% to $4,457.20. During Asian trading hours, the dollar remained subdued, providing support for bullion priced in the U.S. currency. Gold’s level on Thursday was near the stronger levels achieved late Wednesday following a recovery from earlier losses earlier that day.
